We had an amazing snorkeling trip today to Laughing Bird Caye, a nice 35 minute boat ride from Placencia. It was such a pleasure to get to know Warren and his crew, and a true treat to be guided by them. They arranged everything - equipment, water, towels, a terrific chicken lunch and fresh watermelon snacks.
Fantastic snorkeling! Not only did they have good equipment, but they were super patient with the kids and getting us all set up. They knew every fish in the sea, and gladly pointed them out to us, amazingly spotting lobsters and camouflaged lizard fish. Barracudas, furry sea cucumbers, groupers, needle fish, were just a sampling of what we saw. It was also terrific to learn about the local islands and Belize culture.
We highly recommend any trip with Sunny Side, and hope to come back again!
